Peach Green Iced Tea

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. loose-leaf green tea
  • 6 cups water
  • 3 fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh peach or apple juice

Instructions

  1. Place 1 cup of water, the sliced peaches, and the apple juice in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring once in a while.
  2. As you stir, crush the peach slices against the sides of the pan to help release the flavors.
  3. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
  4. Strain the peach syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove any unwanted bits.
  5. Boil the remaining 5 cups of water and steep the green tea for 3 to 4 minutes using an infuser, depending on the variety of the tea.
  6. Pour the peach syrup into the green tea, give a good stir, and refrigerate until cool.
  7. Serve in a cup filled with ice and garnished with fresh peach slices.
