Her clinical experience includes 18 months of traditional chiropractic clinical rounds and 5 months of OB/GYN clinical rounds at the Norwalk (Conn.) Community Health Center. Dr. Jennifer Walker

Dr. Jennifer Walker, D.C. is a chiropractor focused on working with athletes, pregnant women, soft tissue injury patients, and those suffering from pain and inflammation that affect the normal functioning of the body. She uses her knowledge and experience in chiropractic care to help her patients return to their passions and pain-free living by helping them to overcome injuries and by ridding their body of pain. Dr. Walker has used her experience and knowledge to help a wide range of patients—from treating an entire farming village in Morocco to her work with athletes as an onsite doctor at sporting events.

Dr. Walker works with chiropractic adjustments, soft issue techniques, rehabilitation exercises and nutritional protocols to treat the cause of a patient's condition. She also specializes in three techniques to complement the chiropractic care a patient is receiving. She utilizes the Graston Technique, which is the perfect adjunct to chiropractic care, to rid her patients of chronic pain from tension headaches, sprained ankles, or pain from repetitive motions such as sitting at a desk for prolonged periods of time.

Her work with Kinesiotaping is very popular among her patients that are athletes. This technique uses colored tape to support the muscle and reduce the inflammation from an injury. It is a functional tape that teaches the body to do what it is supposed to do, so it retrains the muscle in a proper manner. From athletic injuries to reducing belly and back pain in pregnant women, Dr. Walker uses this technique in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments to return her patients to living their lives without pain.

She is also trained in and uses Activator, which is a mechanical adjusting device for soft tissue injuries. Dr. Walker uses this special technique and instrument to find the specific area of the body that needs adjustment and makes the adjustment without the pops of a typical chiropractic adjustment. For patients that are afraid of chiropractic care and adjustments, this precise technique diminishes their fears with a noiseless technique.

Dr. Walker, D.C. received her undergraduate training at Pacific Union College in the hills over-looking Napa Valley. She pursued a degree in Biology with intentions to attend medical school, and graduated magma cum laude in her class. After graduation, she changed the direction of her life and attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, West in San Jose, California. This change was influenced by her mother's holistic approach to life and the benefits Dr. Walker experienced from chiropractic care. She graduated magma cum laude and valedictorian of her chiropractic class. She went on to earn her certification in Graston Technique, as well as participating in additional training in Kinesiotaping and nutrition--all to better the quality of care she provides to her patients.
